Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA)

Great amenities for a layover (Beecher's grilled cheese!)

Hub for: Delta, Alaska Airlines, Horizon Air. Connection.

Current Grade: B (August 2019)

Goes by SEA-TAC. It's one of those airports with the big central terminal with amenities (I've seen lots of live musicians playing there over the years) and I'm not kidding around about getting a grilled cheese from Beecher's Handmade Cheeses in concourse C.

The airport itself is fairly bland - the spokes (especially A) are long and featureless - but I do appreciate the design, there's a fair amount of walking but you can get from end to end pretty easily. Good for a connection.

I used to have family in Seattle so I flew there more often. I typically avoid connecting here to and from Vancouver, because the flight between Seattle and New York is basically the same length as Van and New York and why connect for a baby puddle-jump and a just-as-long flight, you know? But in the summer of 2019, a season of so many flights, I did take a visit and the solid B stands.
